Open House process continuing in Boston |
| |
| |
| Open Houses continue to be held in downtown Boston. If you are in the Boston area, please stop by, generally, Tuesdays @ 6pm-8pm. New "workerteers" are still welcomed to the team and we are always looking for more help.
Philanthropist.org is now fully underway with its startup building process. This Monthly Newsletter will keep you up to date on our progress. We are still operating as a virtual business, and remain unfunded, but now have a team of over 20 part-time volunteers ("workerteers") and have made some great progress in the past few months despite the down economy and tight budgets. We welcome interested parties to come kick the tires and see what's brewing. Bring your Laptop. Food and drinks will be provided. Boston has a wealth of college students, law students, non-profit professionals, techy-geeks, MBAs, entrepreneurs and others who always make for an interesting brew. The team is actively trying to raise capital for a full Pilot Program where 150+ people will be profiled and promoted. WE NEED YOUR HELP. Help Us Help Others.
Please take a look at this Month's featured profiles: Gavino, who operates a Roofing Business employing several people, needs capital to buy a new truck to expand operations. Coincidentally, Aristy, who received the first funded micro-loan via philanthropist.org's web app had her (uninsured) first business (a gift shop) burn down due to a thatch roof - a common problem in the developing world. We are actively promoting the existing pool of profiles during the startup process. |
