The Micro-Finance Calulator is a handy-dandy tool for our "workerteers" while working in the field. In the past trip workerteers had to navigate difficult conversations with applicants who had non-standard loans with daily, weekly, and Bi-Weekly payment structures. Access to capital is very limited for small business owners, but, when available, terms were non-standardized...individuals had to travel to the money lender every day or week, often at great physical and financial burden. Money Lenders and Loan Sharks would often charge Interest Rates of over 800% APR, in some places, daily interest, would compound to the equivalent of a 1500% APR loan!
