5. The philanthropist.org Pilot Program is planned for a small village in the DR, less than 50 Miles from the Haitian Border. After the emergency response phase, when the international press coverage has waned, the country will face decades of economic rebuilding. Small businesses and individual entrepreneurs will be the engine that drives much of this growth and job creation. Philanthropist.org has already profiled several Haitians and can offer a more personalized approach to giving, investing, and re-building. Our pilot program will allow us to create an additional 150+ such profiles.
